Color-tinted. / The production was shot on a day in or between April to August 1895 in the Black Maria studio in West Orange, New Jersey for foreign distribution by the Continental Commerce Company [Edison’s foreign agents]. A card with a large ‘C’ is visible, indicating the film was made for distribution by Continental Commerce Company. The film was made to replace Annabelle Butterfly Dance (1894). Some copies of the film were color-tinted by hand. Musser control number 140.

Synopsis: Annabelle Whitford (later Annabelle Moore) performs her butterfly dance wearing a pair of prop butterfly wings.
Survival status: Print exists in the Museum of Modern Art film archive.
