The film was released in the United Kingdom on 10 December 1911. The film was rereleased in the USA on 16 March 1914, without main title credits for Olcott and Gauntier, who no longer worked for Kalem. The film was restored in 2001 by the National Archives of Canada from a 28mm reduction print acquired in 1972 by Graphic Consultants, Limited, from barn storage in North Bay, Ontario, Canada. The play was previously filmed as The Colleen Bawn (1911). The play was subsequently filmed as The Colleen Bawn (1911).
