Abe is seen debating with Douglas, and after a lapse of time, he is soon in the presidential chair. The Federal Army under Burnside is retreating towards Washington. Lincoln visits McClellan, and is cheered by the weary soldiers. Grant is placed in command of the Federal Army, and the Confederates are driven back. Many big battle scenes are shown.
