Cinematography by Erich Nietzschmann, Fritz Arno Wagner and Hermann Saalfrank. / Premiered November 1921 in Germany. / Standard 35mm spherical 1.33:1 format. / The film was first released in the USA in 1922. Douglas Fairbanks purchased the USA rights to the film to delay its American general release until his designers could duplicate some of its effects for The Thief of Bagdad (1924). The film was released as Destiny in the United Kingdom in February 1924. A reedited version entitled Between Worlds was released in the USA in July 1924. The film was rereleased as Beyond the Wall in the USA by Artclass Pictures Corporation in 1928.
