Synopsis: [?] [From The Moving Picture World]? After her marriage to the governor of the state, Marion is visited by the man who, once her fiancé, proved himself unworthy. He attacks her and, following a struggle, is imprisoned for housebreaking. With the aid of a light-o’-love he makes a sensational escape from prison and goes straight to the governor’s house. It is late. Marion, sitting by the fire awaiting her husband’s return, confronts the intruder and, to save herself, snatches a pistol from a drawer. The governor, returning, finds her fainting above the lifeless body of the convict.
