Frank Zappa: lead guitar and vocals; Ray Collins: lead vocals, harmonica, tambourine; Roy Estrada: electric bass, vocals and guitarron; Jimmy Carl Black: drums; Billy Mundi: drums and percussion; Don Preston: keyboards; Bunk Gardner: woodwinds; Jim ‘Motorhead’ Sherwood: soprano and baritone saxophones; Ian Underwood: saxophones?; Elliot Ingber: alternate lead and rhythm guitars; Jim Fielder: guitar; other backing musicians. To retire their Verve Records contract, Frank Zappa remixed and compiled this line-up of songs from the first three Mothers albums. The only mono version of the album was released (along with a stereo version) in the United Kingdom. The album was released on CD by the Zappa Family Trust on 19 November 2012. |
