Born 19 August 1891 in Oakland, California, USA, as Lloyd Vernon Hamilton.
Died 19 January 1935 in Hollywood, California, USA, of complications after surgery.
Married Ethel Anderson, 1 May 1913; divorced, 2 November 1926.
Married Irene Dalton, June 1927; divorced, 7 April 1928.
Lloyd Hamilton began his film career in 1913 for the St. Louis Motion Picture Company appearing in short comedies. In 1914, he contracted with the Kalem Company, Incorporated, and he continued with them through 1917 headlining the Ham and Bud series of short comedies.
Late in 1917, Lloyd signed with the Fox Film Corporation to contibute to their Sunshine Comedies releases; the affiliation ended late in 1918. From 1919, Hamilton bounced around appearing in comedies for Henry Lehrman Comedies (1919, 1921), Louis J. Gasnier Productions (1920), Astra Film Corporation (1920-1921) and The Universal Film Manufacturing Company, Incorporated (1921).
Hamilton continued his affiliation with producer Jack White, begun circa 1920, and they formed Hamilton-White Corporation late in 1921, which morphed into Lloyd Hamilton Corporation.
