Jane Darwell

Born 15 October 1879 in Palmyra, Missouri, USA, as Patti Woodward.
Died 13 August 1967 in Woodland Hills, California, USA, of heart failure.

Married Harold Guy Cooley, 23 June 1924; divorced 1927.

Jane Darwell began her professional career as a stage actress, and motion picture work in 1913. Her film career comprised more than 170 films including The Grapes of Wrath (1940), for which she won the Academy Award® for her role as Ma Joad.
