The Chicago Theatre was a first-run house. The venue was purchased by [?] Paramount Publix Corporation? in 1926. Organist Jesse Crawford performed at the Chicago in 1928.
The Chicago Theatre continued to present motion pictures until the 1970s. The theatre was renovated and reopened in 1986, and is currently operating as a performing arts venue, with approximately 3500 seats.
