This two-disc DVD collection is mastered from 35mm restoration prints overseen by The Harold Lloyd Trust, which should represent the best-surviving prints of these seven Harold Lloyd shorts and feature films. Safety Last is presented with audio commentary by Leonard Maltin and Rich Correll. Also included is the new documentary Harold’s Hollywood: Then and Now (2005).
For our comparative reviews of the individual silent films in this collection, see our Ask Father on home video, An Eastern Westerner on home video, From Hand to Mouth on home video, Girl Shy on home video, Safety Last on home video and Why Worry? on home video pages.
While long out-of-print, this collection still represents the best-available home video editions of some these wonderful films and recommend it highly, if you can find a copy.
