Ratings (1-10): video: 5 / audio: 8 / additional content: 7 / overall: 6.

This DVD edition has been mastered from a good to very-good 16mm reduction print. A significant amount of dust, speckling, emulsion scrapes, and other print flaws mar the viewing experience.

The film is presented with a delightful music score performed by Rodney Sauer and The Mont Alto Motion Picture Orchestra.

The disc is supplemented with the documentary The Last Diva: Francesca Bertini, originally produced for Italian television, transferred from a 16mm print. The documentary is in Italian, with permanent English subtitles. The heartbreaking fact revealed is that many of Bertini’s films were burned by German forces during World War II.

This edition is out-of-print but may be found in used copies.
