This DVD-R edition has been mastered from very-good 35mm archival print materials, and is presented as originally telecast by Turner Classic Movies. The print is a bit soft in its image details (not just from gauze shots, either), with some moderate speckling, dust, schmutz, emulsion scuffing, and other minor print flaws.
The film is accompanied by a pleasing and entertaining orchestral music score composed by Philip Carli.
This is our recommended home video edition of the film.
