Ratings (1-10): video: 7 / audio: 7 / additional content: 7 / overall: 7.

This DVD edition has been mastered from a very-good 35mm print, with some dust and schmutz, speckling, scuffing, minor scratches, momentary print deterioration, and frame jitters. Some shots in the source print, taken at the same time and at the same location, are very light. The film’s main titles and intertitles have been reset in English (using a silly typefont called Nickelodeon), which indicates that the source print may originate from Europe.

The film is accompanied by music composed by Donald Sosin, and performed by Sosin and Joanna Seaton.

The disc also contains the Mary Pickford feature Through the Back Door (1921) accompanied by a new ensemble music score by Robert Israel.

Overall, this is a good presentation — likely as good as it will get — and the disc is recommended.
