This budget DVD collection has been mastered from 16mm and 8mm reduction prints. Identifying logomarks are superimposed over the lower right corner of the picture to discourage video transfer piracy but, who would bother?
The silent films are accompanied by a soundtrack compiled from dopey preexisting recordings. Annoying, at best.
The sparce supplementary material includes the short documentary “Hollywood Biography: Gloria Swanson” (25 minutes).
For our comparative reviews of the individual films in this collection, see our The Affairs of Anatol on home video, The Danger Girl on home video, Don’t Change Your Husband on home video, Male and Female on home video, Sadie Thompson on home video, Teddy at the Throttle on home video and Why Change Your Wife? on home video pages.
This edition is now out-of-print. Well, it's not much of a loss.
