From the opening title of the film we know we are in for a couple of hours of moralizing from social pundit Cecil B. DeMille. His purpose was to, as he saw it, counterattack the forces who sought to strip the youth of America of Christian beliefs.

This DVD collection from the National Film Preservation Foundation includes a complete presentation of Cecil B. DeMille’s original 1928 silent version of his moralizing feature, transferred from DeMille’s personal 35mm print held by George Eastman Museum in a slightly windowboxed format.

The presentation is accompanied by a piano score performed by Martin Marks.
