This Blu-ray Disc edition has been mastered from at high-resolution from an archival 35mm print held by the Library of Congress. The scan is relatively free of print flaws, with a sparce amount of dust and speckling, substantial but infrequent vertical scratches, mild frame jitters and moderate exposure fluctuations remaining.
The film is accompanied by an improvised music score composed(?) by Renée Clark Baker and performed by the Chicago Modern Orchestra Project. We apologize to the musicians involved but the accompaniment is a major liability. The largely unstructured music is disconnected except to itself — at times jazzy and more often experimental — and is constantly drawing attention away from the film’s narrative to its cacophany. Most viewers will agree that it is sinply awful. It’s best to turn off the disc’s audio and, instead, listen to just about anything else.
This is our recommended home video edition of the film.
