Our first look at this DVD edition was quite favorable, with the disc mastered from 35mm materials held by La Cinémathèque française ranging in quality from very-good to excellent.
The film is accompanied by a music score by Antonio Coppola, performed by the Octuor de France.
The edition is accompanied by a 28-page booklet with an essay by Lenny Borger, with notes on the films of the collection.
We enthusiastically recommend this edition of Jacques Feyder’s Les Nouveaux messieurs. Unfortunately, the edition is now out-of-print.
