This DVD-R edition of What Happened to Rosa was mastered from a 16mm reduction print, which is reasonably well reproduced in the full-frame video transfer. The source material features a good range of greytones, with darkish shadow areas that aren’t as dark as many 16mm prints from the era.
The film is accompanied by a music score performed on the computer-based Miditzer virtual pipe organ by Ben Model. The results, as always, are pretty darned good.
The supplemental material includes an early Keystone comedy and a stills gallery of fan magazine covers featuring female stars of the era (33 images).
