This Blu-ray Disc boxset contains all of director Fritz Lang’s silent era films. It should be noted that most of the films in this boxset have previously been individually released in Blu-ray Disc editions from Kino Lorber, with the exceptions of the earliest of the films. Three of the early films, previously released on DVD in 2012, have been slightly improved visually. One film, The Plague of Florence for which Lang wrote the scenario, makes its home video debut.

All are likely to be the best available home video editions of the films, and feature footage that has not previously been available in U.S. home video editions.

The films are accompanied by music scores composed and performed by Aljoscha Zimmermann, Ben Model, Cornelius Schwehr, Neil Brand, Javier Pérez de Azpeitia and Gottfried Huppertz.

For our comparative reviews of the individual films in this boxset, see our Harakiri on home video, The Spiders on home video, The Wandering Shadow on home video, Four Around the Woman on home video, Destiny on home video, Dr. Mabuse, the Gambler on home video, Die Nibelungen on home video, Metropolis on home video, Spies on home video and Woman in the Moon on home video pages.
