This DVD edition has been mastered from very-good to excellent 35mm print elements held by the Norsk Filminstitutt film archive. The transfer renders a finely-detailed picture, especially on systems capable of resolution upscaling. At times, on interior shots, the picture’s greyscale range runs a little dark.
The film is accompanied by a music score composed and performed on piano by Ronen Thalmay.
Supplemental material includes the Dreyer film, Love One Another, and an insert booklet with essays by Casper Tybjerg and Morten Egholm.
This is our recommended home video edition of the film. North American collectors will need a region-free PAL DVD player capable of outputting an NTSC-compatible signal to view this edition.
